Why hard things are really simple

Most things you don't know are difficult and once you know them they become simple.

While at Cornell my son and I had to drive to a storage closet 3 times.

The first and second times we used Google Maps to direct us.  Without this tool it feels impossible to get to where you want to go. I felt helpless and unsure while driving. Where do I turn? Will I get lost?

At the third time my son said "Let's try to get there without using Google."

So we tried and it wasn't that difficult at all. Matter a fact it was simple. A left and a right turn. But it seemed so much more complex.

The main lesson I got from this experience is anything you don't know will seem almost impossible to learn until you spend some time with it. Then all of a sudden you know the material. The key is to accept the feeling of being ignorant and continue with your training

Here are the directions.
